You need to turn the inner sheeve of the clutch 1/3 of a turn to put the proper preload on the spring.

I hate to say it, but.... If you had gone HPD you would have gotten a neat little instruction sheet. Can't FTR help you with their free tech hotline?
Here's what you need:
Spring clip pliers
Spring loaded wood clamp with lots of tension.

Here's the drill:
Insert secondary spring into the number 2 hole in the rear clutch. Then insert the other end of spring into #2 hole in the helix.
Slide helix over splines on shaft. It will only go on so far.
Now take your left hand and grip the outer clutch sheave. Take your right hand and grip the outside edge of the inside sheave. While holding the outer sheave steady; turn the inside sheave counter clockwise 1/3 turn to preload the spring. Hold the clutch sheaves in this position while clamping the two sheaves together with a spring loaded wood clamp. This will hold the sheaves from untwisting under the spring pressure.
Now; push the helix all the way down on the shaft.
Install washer then clip onto shaft to lock helix in place.
Unclip spring loaded clamp slowly from sheaves.
You're done!
Good luck!
