Have any of you rancher owners ever have your die on you while you were riding it. I was riding mine this last weekend and when i put it into reverse it died on me and this happened twice. I dont know if the heat had anything to do with it cause it was hot that day or if the engine was just hot.

Did the Fan kick on? The Rancher is equipped with a fan that will automatically kick on. I know that mine so infrequently does, that when it does it scare's me.

Have you checked your gasoline and fuel lines to see if they have gotten some obstruction? Or even your idle. It is possible that your idle screw has worked loose.

Its not that big of a deal. Turn the idling up.

My Recon did that a few times. But I adjusted my idle and has not happened since. Until that screw works its was loose.

YES I was riding in a mudhole and when i got out of the mudhole all of a sudden it just kicked off. I think that it was because of the heat because the red light was on but the fan didn't kick on. It has only done that once though. I also rode my dad's rubicon once and it kicked off after I got on top of a steep hill, but it wasn't due to the heat.
