I've got this bike for the weekend to decide if I want it, gotta like that. It's in excellent shape, hardley ever ridden with about 500 miles, original Goodyears w/ half or more tread. Seemingly good brakes but a little tight, so much so that I don't think you can put the park brake on but could probably be adusted. No breaks, tears and has the engine brake installed. Only, thing it doesn't want to idle well. As unfamliar w/ Polaris as I am, is the idle, (looks like a idle ****/screw), on the right side of the bike/carb? It runs good but wants to quit when you stop after a minute but runs if you give a little gas. I'm getting this for $1700.00 if I get it and hopefully can sell it for around $2k+. I can't believe it only books for $1760.00 and would think a 4x4 300 in great shape should bring more around here cause the books out the window on a 94. I would like to ride it awhile though, it's pretty quick for a 300. Any input about the idle or etc. would be appreciated. The guy selling it swears by it and bought it new but needs the $$. Our buddy has one and has abused it severely and it still runs good I gotta admit. Appreciate any insight...

It sounds like a good deal. The parking brake, idle adjusment, and leaking gas are minor repairs. But beware, it may nickel and dime you to the point where it is no longer a good deal. Make sure to check the electric starter real well, because those are common to go on the older polaris quads. Also, if its a 3 chain design, check the chains and sprockets real well.

Thanks for the info, the starter seems fine so far and starts right up. I turned the idle up so that's not an issue, new plug may help moreso. I turned the fuel **** back to reserve and the fuel drip seemed to stop, but not sure why. I rode it today and it ran good, 4x4 works great and the fan kicked on, I think it's a keeper, (at least till I sell it). The chain and sprockets look good, the sprockets aren't wore at all. Thanks for the info, I'll probably score it.
