Dude I know you want an OEM one but you can get a CEET seat cover for $50 bucks verses $250 used. I think they look better also.

I will only buy an original. There are very few R's out there that are in the same condition as one that came out of the crate 13+ years ago. I have one of those bikes, and the ONLY flaw on it are a couple of permanent marks on the seat cover. I WILL pay the money for an OEM. CEET covers may be nice, but my bike would not be 100% original with one of those on it. Thanks anyways.

I would like to see pics of that mint 88 R if you have any. I am halfway through a total resto of an 87 myself - just passed the 5 grand mark ($$$).

Also, they list a part number and stuff for a brand new OEM seat cover on the Service Honda website. I don't know if you can get it or not but I thought I would mention it in case you haven't tried it yet.

87R, Honda quit selling the Original replacement cover several years ago. You can still order one, but the replacement comes as an all BLACK cover. After having spent tons of money on this bike to get it 100% original, I do not want to put a Honda replacement black cover or an aftermarket cover on this bike. I need an original. I will pay a finder's fee if someone is able to find me a seat or cover, so please keep an eye out for me.

You are from IL, hey? Where exactly are you located???

Bro-

I gotta see a pic!!!. Do you have any available? I, as well, will keep an eye out for you. I am right here in Milwaukee. I know a few people with 88' R's.

Later,
NT

Just out of curiosity, is your r the one with the ring on the seat cover from a flower pot or something? I saw pics of one like that, and that is something so nice that you won't soon forget it. Anyhow, you can buy a brand new, OEM seat cover from Sevice Honda for $60.07 (Part# 77101-HB9-770ZA). Actually, you could buy all the parts you need to build a new 250r from them. I have ordered from Service Honda before, and they have quick, personal service.

I have ordered from Service Honda many times, and I am very pleased with their service and the parts I have received. However, the replacement cover from Honda is now BLACK. I need the red cover with "Fourtrax" logos on the sides of it and the factory "Warning" label on the back of it. If you know where I can get one of these, please help. Thanks.

Hey heres an idea. Maybe a 300ex or 400ex OEM seat cover would fit without much problem. It would look the same I think.
