i want to know if this would work i know i would have to strengthen the frame, it would need a real long swingarm, a-arms etc. mr friend has a 90 and i can proably get the 250r motor for a couple hundred dollars. if this would work could you imagine the freakin power to weight ratio!!!

Anything is possible if you have the time and money. Sure you can put an R engine into a 90 frame but why? The frame was designed to withstand a 10hp engine (estimate), not a 250cc 2 stroke. Yeah the power to weight ratio would be awesome but it wouldnt be worth it. You'd have frame cracks and other problems to deal with. What would be cool is if someobdy made an aluminum R frame. That would be a killer power to weight ratio if you ask me.

The 90 frame has like 2 inches of suspension. Don't do it. Nuff said.

something that would be better than puting a perfectky good r motor would be to put in a cr80 dirtbike motor i saw one that had longer aa rms cr80 motor strengthend frame an tons of other crap. the point is 1) you dont ned or want that much power 2) the bike i just told you about ran circles around a 300ex ! dont put a 250r motor in it will be way to much you wont like it!

i think it would be sweet, mabey even try getting a cr125. you'd probebly have more ussable power than with the 250 motor
