I guess i only have one question, and that is what all should i do first?

I have been told to set the bearings (and seals im guessing) in the carrier and then pound the axel through.

I have also been told to set the axel in there, and then put the bearings in and around it.

And last what does freezing the bearings do (i know someone told me, but it still does not make much since to me)

Thanks

Derek

Oh yea and instead of starting a new post, how do you adjust your front shocks?

Ya get the bearing and seals in there before you ride. I rode with bad bearings and ruined my, chaine sprokecet, axle and bearign carrier. $$$$$$
freezing the bearign makes them easier to put in(smaller)

alright well then this was my question that i never got answered, if it makes the outer ring of the bearing smaller to fit inside the carrier easier, then how in the world does it not make the inner ring (smaller one) of the bearing to small to fit around the axel. Thats what i never understood, if it does it to one, it has to do it to the other. Any advise on which method to try?

Derek, freezing the bearings makes them shrink, which makes it easier for them to fit in the carrier. After you have the bearings in, let them thaw out and get back to air temperature. Then the axle should fit right in. The freezing part is just to get the bearings into the carrier, since it's such a tight fit.

ok, well that is what i wanted to hear, and you are sure that the axel will fit through the bearings right? I tried tp push the bearings through both on, just from one side, and could not get the bearing that was supposed to go on the left side, past the right side. Did you get all of that...hehe, its kinda hard to ecplain.

Thanks

Do you have a manual?? Get one if you dont.
It is going to be a perfect fit between the bearign an axle there should be no play and it should be tight fit. Get the bearign in there then slide the axle. Make sure u grease everything good. A method to get the bearign to fit is get the old bearing and set them on top on the new bearign an pound on the with soemthing.
