aftermanrket a-ams...how to set them up?

i just got some laeger a arms off another quad and noticed that the top locking nut on the tie rod isnt there...is it needed or will the lower one alone do the trick? and how do i set the wheels up as far as toe-in or toe-out? any help is appreciated!

You really need both of those jam nuts. You want to set your wheels toed in about 1/4 inch.
