250R head mill

None.
That's why you run the CR head gasket. The head gasket is about 40 thousandths thinner, so in effect it's the same as decking the head 40 thou. Past the CR head gasket you need to start looking at reconfiguring the squish band and pocket shape. Even with higher octane gas the benefits of decking more off the head without re-cutting the squish and optimizing the pocket shape are null.

Any two stroke engine when the configuation is altered any will often respond favorably to a differnt squish band and combustion pocket shape, even as simple as an aftermarket pipe. The stock head is woefully sloppy(squish clearance too large) and the pocket shape is not optimized(re-chambereing) for most applications. A head can be re-cut whenever, it's just usually done to compliment the porting alterations, or the porting alterations require a differnt configuration to function properly(prevent detonation, etc.)
