It seems the polyethlene scratches (plastic body parts) and AIDS have the same result. NO KNOWN CURE. I have tried Novus polish, and have written an email to Meguiars. Does anyone have a suggestion? My scrambler has been sandblasted from the riding at Silver Lake, and no longer has a shine. I can coat it in Armor All, but would like to do something to restore the gloss.

Thanks,

Rainman

Good luck.. I suggest just using armorall whenever you want it to shine.. If you feel like doing the work (and its alot) you can sand them down with fine/fine sandpaper then buff w/steel wool and a LIGHT buffer and some wax, but its quite the job and not really worth the hassle. Same deal with the plasic renew, you still have to sand/buff them, and pay $30.. Somebody mentioned "mop and glow" but never tried it..

Howdy,

I use Mop and Glo on my Quadracer and after a few coats she sines pretty good. I have Maier plastic on it and that stuff doesn't shine when its new, but the Mop and Glo has it shining and smelling lemon fresh. Give M&G a shot its cheap and works.
