hey guys,

only got one thing to say, WOW!

This thing just boogies. anyone who is polaris Proud but is trying to find a true High Performance quad, news for you, Polaris just made its first.

This thing just has guts, power like nothing else, a Really good 400 EX rider can stay with it on the trails, but not without a lot of effort. i've been told that it'll beat an ex in a drag race and from my ride impression, i'd believe it! This is the one boys! i can only hope it becomes the new scrambler so that people who can't find one, or can't afford it right now can get one, its worth every cent!

What are the differences in the Scrambler X and the regular Scrambler?

Orriginaly they just did weight changes, might have shaved up to 50 lbs, (according to ATVnews.com) then my dealer said they modded the engine. The main difference is that this one just has so much more power to weight ratio you hit the gass all the way and sit on the gas tank and the front end still comes up in high traction surfaces.

I believe the Scrambler X is also geared differently too. As for the weight savings, has any one ever weighed them to see if this is true?

C'mon, The Scrambler always had the HO motor. THATS where it came from. Has it been so long that everyone forgot this?

Beats EX in drag? Nothing new. The guys who care have been saying this for some time. Until aboot 50 mph.

My 400 can pull the front with ease in the same conditions, AND it needs a set of reeds (at least I hope that helps).

What are you comparing against? 335?

Ox,

In 1997 the 500 Scrambler had the N.O. (No Output) motor in it. Needless to say, the 1997 Scrambler 500s didn't sell. It wasn't until 1998 that they got the H.O. motor. They only made 800 of the 1998 Scrambler 500s because they didn't think that they would sell. They were wrong. 1998 was also the first year of the Concentric drive.

It has a different clutch also, the housing on the outside looks totally different than the 01 500. I am not sure of all the changes made but I know for a fact that it smokes an 01 Scram 500 2x4, I just raced one last weekend and as for the 400ex, I can beat them everytime in a drag race. It is very hard to keep the front wheels down on this thing though, you have to almost sit on the handlebars when drag racing. It does incredible on the trails, the low end torque just launches you out of the corners, I am very happy with mine.

Sorry Mike. It ALMOST always had the HO motor. LOL!

OH! And don't forget the stickers! 3-5mph. LOL!

I wander if this means that the new 6-700 that has been antisipated may not be out till next year? 'Course the talk is some sort of 2wd toy. No new Scram probably.
