to anybody planning on splitting the crakcase on their banshee...
#1
i heard the other day just before opening the crankcase on jiz's banshee that not to do it yourself. a buddy of mine said that the two halves are pressed onto the crankshaft. he said he did it on his bike and it about shook him off the bike because he didnt kno and took his case apart and then put it back together without pressing the case onto the crank shaft. so if u gotta get into the bottom end i would recommend taking the bottom half to the dealer or somebody who can put it back together properly. not sure if u knew that but hey!, it may save somebody from making that mistake. see ya

That is completely untrue..... I have split many banshee cases and never once had to "press" the cases on or off the crank assy. The reason a bike will "shake" like that is because something is not balanced... If the crank was rebuilt in that motor and wasnt trued.... then thats where your vibration can start from.
Splitting the cases on a banshee is not that hard.... Get yourself a Clymers or factory repair manual and the right tools..... take your time, and if you have any questions post them here and I am sure one of us could walk you through it.... I have 2 banshee lower ends apart on my bench right now..... I can take digital pictures if need be......
good luck
