Hey all you tire guys out there I have a queastion before I spend the money to have these tires mounted on these rims. I have a set of 190 10x8 rims with omf rings that I want to put 21x12x10 tires on. My question is will they fit and function properly on these rims or should I switch my realters since they are dirt tires, to the 8 in rim and take the 9 in rims that they have and put the paddles on them?? What I am really after is whaat will work the best and give me the best profile on both tires. Thanks in advance....

the 8 on the rim means it is 8 in tall and the 10 on the 21x12x10 means the tire is a 10 in tire so thee is no way it will work you will need to order some 10 in rims from somewhere to get them sand tires mounted.

The rims are 10" diameter both sets. One set is 9" wide and the other is 8" wide measured from edge to edge. I think that I am going to have them switched. The place I bought the tires said that the 9 will work much better that the 8 so I will trust then and go with the 9 on the paddle. thanks for the reply though.... later

The 8" wide rim with rings will be better for the dirt tires as it protects the rim from dammage much better. The narrow width means that the tire will protect the rim edge and the ring will strengthen it.

The 9" wide rim will widden the profile of the paddle tire and give it better floatation, hence better traction. Being in sand, the rim doesn't usually need the same protection as a dirt tire and wheel.

Thanks Kuntz, I was thinking the same thing just wanted to test the waters before spending the money to have the switch done. It looks like I will be parting with the cash and switching the tires.
