In March, I bought a Honda 450 ES, trailer and accessories in Miss and, since I live in Atlanta, did not pay sales tax. Last week, I received a bill from the State of Georgia for $408 of sales tax. I am caught!! I suspect the state of Miss ratted me out to GA.

I still got a good deal on the Honda but I wanted to alert everyone.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

I was warned of that when I bought my Rancher. I live in MS, and I got it in MS, the dealer said he would do it but I would prob get a bill for the sales tax anyways. I am from Louisiana originally, and have found out that in Mississippi they WILL get the money, one way or the other. I just thought that living in MS was cheaper...LOL. So I paid the tax and held my nose.

 

they don't do that here in NC and SC. I know a guy that drove to NC that lived in SC to get a 250ex. Didn't charge sales tax and he didn't get a bill after he bought it.
