im looking for a old atv brand doesnt matter but probably on my budget is an 1980-1990 atv it has to have electric start, auto clutch and 4 stroke above 200cc what types do u recomend?

i ask in this forum because it is the most honest and quick responding honda yamaha kawasaki polaris suzuki etc

im leaning toward a lt230e
or is there a honda? i already own the 200sx

well i consider it sporty.

the trx250 was a 250cc with an auto clutch, just like a recon!..but with a J-arm set up. Built like a rock.

I'd say, forget the auto clutch, and buy a 300ex/250X. This will sound bias..

but for an 87 250x, around 1,500. You won't find a better trail quad, for the money!

 

You probably could get a bayou 220 too. I hear they are pretty bullet proof and you could get an 80's 220 at a good price.

 

thanks i will keep my eye out for those bikes and maybe i will get the 250x for the speed aspect too

 

If your a real man and can handle a three wheeler go with the 85 0r 86 ATC 250sx. They are a great trike and you should be able to find one for less the $1000.

haha my dad would never let me buy a 3 wheeler either...

i was going to buy 2 at different times, an 86 250R and a 350X forget the year. I just wanted the motor! But he said no, i was like..geez take the wheels off, i just want the motor! sell the rest for parts, they were like 900 and 500. A steal for a motor that can be sold for a good bit more )
