Thats some pretty good air you are getting their!! Not with out some consiquences thought I see . I noticed that you have aftermarket heel guards. Did you make them of buy them from somewhere? If you bought them I would be interested in a set the stock ones are way flimsy.

Excuse me but I am Jimmie's wife and ride a Raptor, Ryan the one on the DS jumping said he also done the same jumps on a Raptor. Why does everyone have to cut down a Raptor without knowing? Funny nothing happen to the Raptor when he jumped it.

Angel,
Well, it's funny you bring that up. Mr. Thomas actually e-mailed me several months ago asking my opinion on the Raptor, as he was having a hard time deciding on which quad (rap or DS) to buy. I don't make judgements and am not brand biased (I think both are very good), therefore I told him to ride both and go with his gut feeling. Now, everytime I see this guy he is putting down the Raptor. It's guys like this that make the forum un-enjoyable.
I do have to say that through my years of offroading, none of the manufactures stand behind their products as well as they should. I hear good things about c-dale standing behind their product but, obviously I have not experienced this for myself.
Take care,
Swy

Thank you very much, I feel the sameway. Plus I really do not know what I am talking about, but I will say I would rather have my Raptor then my husband's DS. Some should let their quad's blow the hot air instead of them.

Actually I was looking at Raptors. But between being the next "me too" quad & every other post in the Yamaha forum being titled something like. "Raptor broke in half", Raptor fell to pieces", Raptors 5th tranny broke", I thought maybe Yamaha didn't exactly live up to their own hype. The older I get the less time I have to work on quads. The problems with the Raptor falling apart worried me. Plus $6,500 was enough to spend on a quad, I can't afford all the repairs too. I don't hate the Raptor. It's Yamaha's ad campaign that really bothers me. It was suppossed to be the end all quad & at one time I was really set on getting one. I guess I'm upset at Yamaha's people for letting me down. What is really comes down to was that I felt for my own safety I couldn't buy a quad that breaks (into pieces) so easy.
