Problem exists with the needles set in any clip. Looks like I have fixed another one 'till it broke.

Seems like a problem with the diaphram/cap position on one of the CV carbs. Has anyone checked to see if their needles are raising correctly when throttle is applied? Can this be done since the intake tubes would have to be disconnected from each carb? All replies are appreciated.

Also, what about opening up/closing the diaphram vent for more aggressive raising under load?

I know nothing about those carbs and other than to clean the air filter I am not touching nothing. My Raptor runs fine from the bottom all the way to as fast I am willing to go down this rock roads we have. Sorry, no help from over her to the west of you in Indiana. Chet

I've played with the raptor carbs on four different machine til i was blue in the face.
Let me guess, idles fine, mid-range doesn't run, top runs fine.
Moving the neddle mad no diff.

You need to run larger jets.

I am 3500 feet from sea level, aftermarket pipe, k&n filter, snorkel removed and I'm running a 160/165 jets, neddle on 4th grove down. It runs perfect there.

Hope this helps

Bikeworx has a single Mikuni for the Raptor that he claims is awsome. If you are having too much trouble with the CV's talk to Bikeworx. Note that a single will provide more low end torque but, in my tests, you will loose over rev and top end hp.
