what's the best fmf pipe for low and mid range on a banshee? and silencers? I need to pass a noise check at my riding area. do any kits come with instructions and jets?

It sounds like your set on buying a FMF pipe. You might be better served by a different brand for low to mid power. I'd recommend a 2-1 pipe from MotoFast or DynoJet. They give gobs of low end power, plus they sound amazing! (kinda like an Indy car) I also believe that they would pass a sound check, but I don't know for sure. I owned a 99 Banshee with the DynoJet 2-1, and I loved it!

If your heart is set on FMF pipes, The only ones I have experience with are the Fattys. However, these are mostly top end pipes.

I've got a set of FMF Gnarly Torque Series on my 2000 banshee. They've got great low end and mid range and didn't hurt the top end. I would definitely recommend them. With the FMF powercore II silencers they are pretty quiet too. Directions should have jetting info with them.

Also the FMF SST's are supposed to be good all around pipe. But I haven't ridden a banshee with those pipes to really give an opinion.
