When do I need to change the oil for the first time, and any recomendations for what to use. Any simple mods that I can make?
I put boot gaurds on it and adjusted the handle bars and the shifter lever. I also have a squeek in the year end some where not sure if it is a shock or brake or what.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

my manual on the Warrior says to change the oil after one month initially, but that depends on how many hours you ride it the first month. If it was my machine I'd change it after about 15 to 20 hours riding the first time & be sure to remove the filter & clean it if necessary. Many times it will have tiny metal flakes in the screen on the first change.
Any of the better brands of oil are suitable in 20w/40w weight with an API rating of SE. Personally, I have used Pennzoil exclusively, except for the last time when I couldn't get it & bought Quaker State.
As for mods, the list is endless...if you mean performance-wise, the easiest & quickest one, altho not necessarily the cheapest one, would be to add an after market pipe. There are several good tunable pipes available, FMF and Supertrapp being two of them. These two can be tuned to give more low end or high end performance , as your style demands. A twist throttle is used by many, including myself to reduce thumb fatigue on long rides & to allow better control of the bike on rough ground.
Last, but by no means least, is the pathetic air filter system on Warriors & Wolverines..quick solution...get rid of it as soon as possible & get a pro design airbox/filter up grade kit. With this kit allowing the motor to breathe combined with a pipe, you'll be amazed at the awesome difference it makes in power thruout the band. Of course you'll need to rejet the carb to compensate for the increased air flow, but not a big problem.
Well, that's my nickel's worth..enjoy your new toy..it's a winner!

you may want to remove th rear hubs and check the axle for proper greasing, also spray some lube on the rear shock mounts.

Where is the best and or cheapest place to get these items? Also alot of places dont have these things for the 2000 model will 99 work? Im not sure if they changed anything at all in the quad.

Burleyone,There are numerous sources for these & other items advertised in the quad magazines. Rock mtn. ATV lists the supertrapp pipe & silencer @$190 and Jas Lucky has the Motion Pro twist throttle kit at about $43. That is an excellent throttle & includes the required cable & etc. They also carry the Pro Design air box/filter kit at $99. These prices are pretty much uniform regardless of the dealer, however I'v had good luck with both of these outfits.
Rocky Mtn is at 800-336-5437. Jas Lucky is at 800-233-2637.

The Wolverine has not changed since 1995. Only thing different from 99 is the graphics, and they added a pull starter.

Well I sprayed white lithium grease on the shock mounts took it for a ride and still squeeked. So then i sprayed alittle on the back brake and that fixed it for now atleast.
