HEY ALL
NEED A LIL HELP. I OWN A 2000 BLASTER. A FUN RIDE BUT I NEEDED A LITTLE MORE POWER, SO TODAY I UPGRADED TO A FMF FATTY PIPE + SILENCER. I ALSO PUT IN A K&N AIR FILTER AND VENTED THE BOX. IT LOOKS , SOUNDS, AND RIDES GREAT. AFTER INSTALLING MY NEW AD-ONS I WENT TO THE CARB. I WENT WITH THE #250 MAIN JET,AJUSTED THE AIR SKREW (ABOUT 1 2/3 OUT) , BUT DIDNT GET TO THE NEEDLE . I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE WHO HAS DONE SIMILAR MODS CAN HELP. IS IT NECESSARY TO DO THE NEEDLE, AND IF SO WHAT NOCH WORKED WELL.

Blaster00,
unless you have previously moved the needle position, it is no doubt in the center slot. Just leave it there unless you have some throttle response problem between 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. That's where the needle operates. In Ma, where you are, that should be fine. Any time you rejet it's always a good idea to take a plug reading to be sure, especially on a two stroke. If you're not sure how to do that or what to look for, e-mail me & I'll run thru it with you.
