I know this gets asked over and over but a friend of mine is interested in a quad and wants to know which to get. What mods will give the best performance to each bike compared to the other? Like pipes, jets, filter etc, etc. What mods will make either bike the fastest? Any other comments would be apprciated. Thanks!!!!

The 300 has good (not great) suspension. The Warrior has pretty bad suspension. In the whoops the 300 can hang in there, but the Warrior will buck you right off! I'm not just saying this as a Honda guy, because I owned a Warrior for a long (too long) time. And, the Warrior handles like a heavy bike, even though on the scale it's isn't really that bad. Yamaha needs to redesign or replace the Warrior. Don't buy one! They'll never change if uninformed people keep buying them!

It would be nice if Honda would upgrade the motor on the 300 too.

It really depends. They are both great machines. I'd say the 300EX handles better, jumps better, and wheelies better. Thats about where it ends though. In stock condition, the Warrior is faster, has more horsepower, and is a better hill climber. The Warrior is a great trail machine, altough some aftermarket suspension on it does make a great improvement over stock.
