experience with ATV snow blowers?
#1
Does anyone know of a company (other than Polaris) that sells snow blowers for ATV's? I found The SnowHog on the Internet, but it is the only company that I can find- I'm looking for other options. I am in the market for a utility ATV and having a snow blower would be a big plus.
I had a plow on my Honda FourTrax (350), but, even with chains, it couldn't move the amount of snow that I needed it to.
I would like to buy a new Griz and have the option of getting a snow blower if needed. My other option is to get a Sportsman 500 or wait for the 700, but I'm not a big fan of Polaris'.
Any thoughts? Has anyone bought a SnowHog?
Thanks!

Take a look at the Traxter, you can move a lot of snow with a plow on one of these Hogs! They have some real utility ATVs. You could buy one with a dumping bed on the back and you can load that down with some weight too, which may help.
Seriously the Traxter is #1 for utility use!
Good Luck.

Thanks Grabs- that's a good point.
I'm just starting to investigate the Traxter, I must admit, I don't know much about them.
For the amount of money that I'm going to spend, I want a machine that doesn't just shine in a few areas, but is good in many (work and play).
I am not a big Polaris fan (bad experiences with their snowmobiles), but
I must say that I am very impressed with the accessories that they have to offer. I wasn't even going to consider a Sportsman until I read through the Polaris brochure and saw what accessories you can add to make the machine highly functional-to the point where it could replace the need for a small tractor.
Are there others that are in the dilemma that I'm in?

I wouldn't be that scared of getting the Polaris. I have two of them and haven't had any major troubles. Check out their website today. They just added the Sportsman 700. This thing weighs 740lbs dry and tows 1500lbs. Now that would push some snow. I do know that the snow blower is about $3,000 though. Good luck.
