ok duncan double barrel or sparks x-4 or x-6

i was considering either the duncan or sparks complete exhaust i want the one that gives me best power gains and also if you say sparks i only plan on like k^n power up kit to go along w/pipe so i didnt know whether the x-4 or x-6 would be better w/just that extra little mod

I race a guy w/a double barrel, it sounds really good. Nice deep throaty sound. I haven't rode the quad, so i can't really say how much power it delivers. Also, the Sparks pipe sounds AWESOME! I think I'd go with the X-6 if I were you. They look really trick, give tons of power, and sound great!

I have the DMC complete, same as the duncan. Great pipe over all, I have owned 4 other exhaust systems and this one is by far the best. They did a shootout on the GT Thunder website and on a built 400EX motor and the DMC was the best even against the GT Thunder pipe.

LDJ, have you rode a GT thunder pipe? Do they sound good? I've heard alot of great things about their products. A friend of mine has a Yoshimura RS-3 on his 400EX, and it produces a good sound, and great power. It upped his EX to 33HP. It comes with a price, but the pipe has a really nice power delivery. It has a stronger low end, a harder pulling mid, and gets a much higher top speed. I like the sound of the Yoshi.. I'd compare it with a DMC our Duncan.

the yoshi sounds like crap i think. i like sparks and the double barrel myself so i'd get either one but probably the sparks cuz its cheaper i think. i have a new riding buddy that has a white brothers r-series slip on and it sounded good. it didn't have that distinct brap sound that the yoshi has it was more like a continuous growl. the best pipe on a 400 i've ever heard was the tc (?) shorty pipe thingy. its super short and it just sounded soooo awesome!

I have not ridden a GT Thunder piped bike, though I would like to. I have heard their pipe works better when you put in lots of motor mods. That pipe was the only one I was debating on getting, but the $550 price killed me. My DMC costs me $460. GT Thunder has great products, I have there race porting and it is awesome, I am sending out my motor in the winter to GT Thunder.

I have a full exhaust Duncan, and I love it. All I did was install the pipe and headers(takes about 30-45 minutes), add a K & N, and change the main jet(takes about 5-10 minutes). It woke my bike up. You can't believe it is the same bike. It is loud though. I wanted a quiet pipe with lots of power (doesn't exhist). I like to ride in my neighborhood. I kept the Duncan, even with the noise, because it made so much power and torque. Everyone has their own preferences.
