Hi, I have a modified 91 lt and was wondering how to know what size carb to move to. Should I go to a 38 or 39? Is there some kind of formula for it? And what is the difference between a pwk and an air stryker? Thanks.

It just depends on your opinions as much as anything else I think. I do know that for low end power, you want a smaller carb. I just got an LRD 265 top end for my 250r and they recommened a 38 for top end power but a 36 for more low and midrange. So I got the 36 as I race MX.

I am also not sure on the differences between the AS and the PWK, but most of the top runners around here run the air stryker, so it may be better? I am not sure.

I have the 39 PWK, it has tons more power, but the 39 is a little too large for this quad, even with porting, the 38 PJ is the better choice.

instead of the PJ, look into a 38mm Air Stryker or a 38mm Mikuni TM.

I was told that the Air Striker is the beter carb because it is the updated version of the PWK. It has vents and a better design which is faster and easier to tune. Also, you're supposed to check your compression to decide what size carb to move to. Just incase anyone else had the same problem I did.
