I read in another post that you can get a oil filter cover for the Raptor from the Yamaha dealer for about 25 bucks. Does anyone have the part number for this? I looked on the Yamaha web site and it didn't show this accessory for the Raptor. Thanks.

I bought one from Alba and works great. It's kinda $$$ but worth not having your oil filter ripped of in the woods.

check them out at.

Hi gogojoe,

I just purchased the GYT-R Oil filter cover and the fit, finish and quality seems very good. I paid $31.00 with tax. I ordered it from the dealer where I purchased the machine.

Hi Sneves,

Your right, the price is $23.99, if you read the fine print, the price can be subject to change. I brought this up to my dealer and he said the price changed to $28.99 plus tax because of the limited availability of this new GYTR accessory.

Hi Chaseman,

If you bought your machine new from a dealer, you would have received a new accessory list for the Raptor from Yamaha, via email. In there, there is no picture of the oil filter cover, but it does list the price of it. I can tell you this, the fit and finish is very good. I will try to scan a picture of it and post it here on the board.

I called the dealer with the part number: aba-51p27-62-00. He said it was not a good number. Whats up?

The correct part number is ABA-5LP27-62-00. I believe in your part number a one is substituted for the "L". I just picked one up Saturday at the dealer for about $29. If I remember right, I got the part number origianlly from a flyer Yamaha sent me in the mail around June. There were all finds of things on the back cover (with no pictures) like billet a master cylinder cover, billet thottle cover, water pump housing, oil filter cover, etc. A lot of these were listed as being available in June or July, and are not listed on the website. I ordered up quite a few, but have only gotten the oil filter cover and a rear brake cylinder cover. Both parts are quite nice.
