I am looking at buying a new Grizz from there. Looking for any and all comments good or bad on the dealership. We all have to get our machines serviced sooner or later and I'm trying to look ahead. Comments on any other Yamaha dealers close by would be nice to.

(go easy Bill)

I was in Townline about a month ago and wasn't real impressed. I bought a Raptor in March, a PW50 in April, and a TTR90 in July from Card Brothers in Cheasning. Card Bros. is a farm implement dealer that also sells Yamaha, nothing else. They mainly deal quads, with a few dirt bikes and a few sleds. They are right on M-57 about 2 miles west of town on the north side of the road. They are extremely good people to work with, and they don't try to charge any of the extra freight, assembly, delivery, etc. I absolutely do not recommend Great Lakes Motorsports on Fenton Road under any circumstances. For my Raptor they were $800 higher, and they require payment for special orders in advance. At Card Bros., they order it and you pay for it when it arrives. There is a new Yamaha dealership in St Johns on US27 north of town, but they like to charge you freight because "Yamaha doesn't ship it to us for free you know". I also don't think their service dept. knows Yamaha too well because they are a new dealership. I been down to Anderson's in Bloomfield, and wasn't impressed with their people or prices either. Overall, I would strongly recommend Card Bros. in Cheasning, and I've also heard good things about Nelson's Speed Shop in Greenville. If you have any heavy repair or labor intensive type stuff I have the name of an independent guy that's worked the shops in Lansing, and now he's on his own. He does quads, bikes, sleds, PWC's, etc. In fact a couple of months ago he put a turbo on a Suzuki Huyabusa for a guy. He said when it was done it was a real rush. That's probably an understatement. Speaking of turbo's, I wonder if the one for the Raptor would work on the Griz? Just a thought.

Cruiser,

I would also recommend staying away from Townline. Sales staff dont know answers to most questions and service dept isnt very knowledgable, I know from experience. For Yamaha's might wanna try Stevens Cycle in Bay City. When raced dirt bikes they used to be real good to customers with service and prices. Hackers in Houghton Lake is the same way, pretty good people.

Bill when you sending the 400 packing and buying the new Griz so I can "test" drive it! Ashamed to say the 500 still has some mud on it from the spring ride in Gladwin, working too danged much.
