I cannot find much information about this quad. How is it rated? Any info about it at all would be appreciated.

I had a 00 Xpedition 425 that I traded in recently on a SP500Ho DUSE. I had my heart set on an auto with I.R.S. but I'll tell ya this. My 425 NEVER let me down. If you dont mind shifting and tolerating a rougher ride it is a machine that will serve you well. Mine was bulletproof and it seems they can be had at great bargains. They do have lousy resale however as most seeking a Polaris are looking for an automatic.

Good Luck, Mike D

There use to be a few of us that stood behind our shifters, but they have been quite for a while now. Probably because their machines arent broke down at the present time. Thats basically what you hear from these posts. Anyway, mine has been very reliable and just turned 1000 miles. I'll admit its a auto world out there, but if you have a motorcycle, dirt bike, or ever had a honda atv, shifting is just a way of life. I like the gears for braking reasons alone. You will never hear me complain about EBS not working good enough or my brake pads wearing out too fast. I very rarly use my brakes at all, just let off the gas and you instantly begin slowing down, even before you downshift. Water doesnt get my tranny all wet and locked up either. As far as riding goes its not as smooth as IRS, but what is?? Its the same frame and shaft drive system as the magnum series. I'm happy with mine, I bought it new and never looked back and keep wondering if I should have got an auto.

You won't be sorry if you buy one. I've put about 1300 miles on mine without any major problems. I did replace the front springs, because the front end is heavy on these machines.
