I want a pipe for my '02 Warrior and I've narrowed it down between three silencers.

Big Gun Race Series
White Bros. E - Series
FMF Powercore IV

Which is the best?

I bought my silencer because I wanted it to sound better but most important I wanted performance. I bought the White Brothers. E-Series. You need to look at all 3 company websites and then make a decision. The White Bros. website tells you how much improvement to expect from their silencer. They give you dyno runs as well. Check the websites.

Personally, i feel that a pipe doesn't really make much difference on the warrior. It already has a large stock headpipe, unlike the 300EX & 400EX and others, the only real advantage is the weight that could be saved-up to 5 or 6lbs. The companies all claim an increase of 5 to 6 HP, well, that is PEAK HP. That means that at one instant on the powerband, the motor produces 5 or 6 more ponies. When you look at the big picture, a complete system, along with some real motor work(cam, hi-comp. piston, etc..) will get you the power you want.

Take White Bros. for example:why don't they make a headpipe for the warrior? because the stock one is good enough.

I went with the Big Gun pipe and really like the fit and finish. The silencer is bolted together with allen bolts to make repacking easier, the spark arrester is removable, and the exhaust exits straight back. The pipe is Loud, the loudest I've heard on a warrior but I like that. As far as perfomance goes I felt a big improvement after installing the pipe and prodesign filter kit together. The quad will lift the front end up much easier now. I think Paul @ Big Gun said the pipe made an average of 3.25 hp more than stock on thier dyno mostly in the mid-range. The peak was about 4 to 4.5 hp but only at one given point in the power band, so you do really need to look at average hp not peak. All the pipes you listed are good and if you rode the same quad with each pipe installed you would only notice a small difference if any, the ol "seat-of-the-pants" meter is not near as sensitive as a dyno.

Ridnwarrior,

How are those ribs? I thought I broke my wrist on the 1st but it looks like there may be ligament or tendon damage. I went to the bone doctor and nothing was broke but he said something wasn't right and sent me to a hand surgen. I sould see him next week. I JUST WANT TO RIDE!!!!! It's perfect weather here in Texas and i'm stuck at the house! Sorry I just needed to vent.

2001atv,
The ribs are still hurting. I just got my tire for the Warrior fixed today. I could not wrestle that tire off the rim even with no broken ribs. Where I go riding here in NJ is only 3 blocks from my house. All day Sunday I could hear everyone riding. It was killin' me. I figured my ribs don't hurt too bad maybe I'll take the YZ 250 out for a spin. Bad idea! Evertime I shifted the handlebars yanked on my ribs. I was home after about 30 minutes. That's 10 minutes of riding and 20 minutes of bs with the boys. It's not easy sitting home with perfect riding weather out there. I guess it's time to watch Huevos III again.......Good luck with the surgeon. I can't stand doctors but good thing there here. Later.
