Was wondering if anyone makes a clamp on K&N type filter that will still utilize the airbox? Tired of cleaning the foam filter after every ride, and the retention system blows. Thought a nice clamp on with an Outerwear inside the stock air box would work great. I ride in water so the box is damn near a nessasary.

PRO-DESIGN is the only way to go! its a aluminum flange that has a O-ring seal. the flange bolts to your stock box and has a clamp filter you can get a kn filter or a foam.

definately go with the pro-design. I have one on my raptor and have seen them on banshees. It is a nice piece that seals a lot better than the factory set up.

This sounds like a broke record, but the PRO-DESIGN set-up is the only way to go. The only choice is K&N or FOAM. Use a good filter oil if you go the foam route....I use PJ1 and it works awesome.

Foam or K&N, unfortunately the Pro-Design flange is different for each. If you ride in sand I'd recommend the K&N with outerwear, but if dust is your deal, then foam all the way. PJ1 is an excellent filter oil, very tacky. Spray it on and work it in.

I'm gonna say somthing different from the other guys because it's what I have. I'm not saying mine is better but I sure love it.
I have the Toomey 2 into 1 filter kit. It takes the place of the air box, is idiot proof with the foam filter and outerwear, gave me an enormous amount of power over the stock filter with the holes in the lid. I ride it thru some mud and since the filter sits on top of the 2:1 adapter it actually rides higher than the stock filter. The only drawback is I get more engine noise thru the carbs. It's about $50 from Toomey with the foam filter, outerwear, and the 2:1 fitting. Go to their website and check it out. If you have ANY questions about it, email Toomey and they usually give a response by the next day!
