Well, after many months of research, brochure looking, reading and posting on forums, today, it all came together. I brought home my new Cat, 500 Manual ACT Green.I would like to thank you all for the input, support and un-biased opinions. My buddy and I picked it up and then went out for about 6 hours of trail riding. These trails wind through the woods and you seldom get out of 1st gear. The Cat worked great, I wish I could say the same about the rider. This is my first ATV, my buddy has a 99 450 Foreman and about 3 years experence. He was riding lead and I think he was suprised when he stopped to check on me, and there I was, right on his a**. We only had one "problem", when we had to bring out the tow rope. We hooked up the rope, I slipped it into 1st gear, low range, and the Cat pulled the Honda out of a big black mud hole. At that moment I knew I had made the right decision to buy the Cat. Well, I just had a hot bath and now I think it's time for bed, boy do I hurt. If I feel this bad, I can just imagine how my buddy feels.

Well first of all, congratulations! You must be thrilled. I can't wait to get mine. You must be sure and keep me updated as you break her in. How's the ACT? I test rode the 375 and I could not believe how comfortable and effective the swingaxle was. You're Foreman driving buddy must've been quite jealous. Where did you buy it, Johnson's? If so what are the prices like and can you get a deal on a winch yet? Anyway, when I get mine, you'll have to tell me where some of these trails are around here. Again, congrats and enjoy your first weekend with the new Cat.

Congrats!
You'll have to give a complete review of it as soon as you have it out in an area in which you can test more of it! Did you get a winch? I am guessing you got it at Johnson's like you were planning, so I was wondering if he installs the winches for free? I don't think March is ever going to come! It is a long hard wait I can tell ya! Have fun with the Cat and be sure to post your riding stories!
