I am just wondering if anyone has gotten the RCR stage 1 complete kit? How much improvement in hill climbing, hopping over ruts instead of bottoming out the front end, etc.?? I am looking to get it but I need your opinions.

So, far I love this machine it's not as fast as my buddy's 400ex but I still have lots of fun with it. I would just like more power on hill climbs and such.

I have a 2000 325 TBoss and these are the mods I have done:

~DG alloy bumper (for a 400 scrambler)
~Diamond plate aluminum skid plate under motor
~K&N jet kit with filter
~RCR green spring & RCR air box modification
~MSR Dominator Handle bars
~Polaris black shock covers
~removed the rack
~removed front & rear black mud flaps extensions

The mods I did made a improvement in performance, but It still will not outrun a EX or Mojave. It weighs too much. I called RCR and talked to them about the 414cc big bore and other mods they have. I am thinking about getting the 414 kit and cam from RCR this winter. Rick said in a 100yd race between a Tboss and 400 Scrambler the Tboss would take the 400 off the line but the 400 would beat it by a couple lengths at 100yds.

This winter I am going to replace a lot of the steel brackets and guards with aluminum to try and reduce weight. Also I'm trying to talk my wife into buying me some ITP .190's and different tires or the HotSeat exhaust and header pipe for Christmas. Don't know if she will go for it though.

I have the complete RCR stage 1 kit. For hill climbing and hopping over ruts, it helped greatly. I also put aluminum wheels all the way around and am working on an aluminum front bumper to lower the weight a bit. Dont know how much it will help, but i enjoy tinkering. BTW, with the stage one kit, on blacktop, it will pull the front wheels off the ground with ease. The auto tranny forces you to get REAL familiar with the timing of the clutch engagement. As far as i'm concerned, the Stage 1 kit is a great investment. The only thing i even half-way dislike is the noise of the pipe that comes with the kit. Hope this helps.

Hey txtrailboss

How much was the exhaust though RCR? How loud is it? I'm either going with the HotSeat, Aaen, or RCR exhaust. Have not really made up my mind yet on which one to get. Might go with the one from HotSeat, it's made out of aluminum and I think it comes with a new header pipe for around $270. They say it gives 3-4 hp over stock.

IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS A BIGBORE KIT ON A TRAILBOSS EMAIL ME OR RESPOND TO THIS AND LET ME KNOW IF IT IS WORTH THE MONEY$$$ PERFORMANCE GAIN?

I would also like to know how loud the pipe is. Would it be worth it to do the mods with no pipe? Also saw the 414 kit for 495.00 what does that include and what is not included?
