Good:It is fast and hast a hard power hit and can be modded cheap and be very fast.
Bad:Not much low end power stock and not a very strong frame so they arent that great for jumping.

I ride with a bunch of guys that have Banshee's. Man are they fast. They eat the Modded Raptors up. Us 400EX guys look at the Banshee's as drasters - Super fast. We look at our 400EX's as SUV's - Go anywhere. The Banshee's kill us in drags but we dont drag much. the 400EX's kill the Banshee's and Raptor's in thw woods and trails where we spend 99% of our time. Kinda depends on how you are going to ride.

Yeap. it's like a dragster (at least for feelings). It's hard to get the power to the ground too.
I like it in woods though, you can ride under the powerband, and it pulls you out smoothly neatly.
Very easy to work on (mechanically).
Very reliable if you're careful.
The frame and shock have been quite tough, but not perfect (I blasted the rear shock on hard moguls)...no frame crack...just a bent upper frame on a nice crash, bent it back into place "easily".

Not user friendly! premix, kickstart, rough suspension. The kickstart really $ucks. t goes gling gling all the time, nearly lost it 3 times, lost it once and found it...don't want to go out and spend 125$ for a new billet one. Wanna go faster attitude! (good and bad...especiall bad for the wallet if you don't control yourself!). Technology is 15 years old! now that I know aout ATVs, I'd make a complete banshee from nothng. Lonestar frame, RZ350 engine...etc etc.

Good point; longest lasting 2-stroke produced!!!! Bad point; everyone should've ridden one, because it dates back to 1987....no different than a 2001 model!!!!
