can you brake a timeing chain with to much HP

can you brake a timeing chain with to much HP Becouse i have heard of it but can it realy happen or can you chip a tooth out of the cam sproket

Highly unlikely that a timing chain on a quad would break from sheer horsepower. Let's face it, quads don't produce that much horsepower even on nitrous. It is more likely that it would be from a manufacturing defect.

Radical cam timings and high poundage valve springs can lead to the demise of a timing chain. RPM is another killer RPM = Ruins Peoples Motors....The actual specific output of engine is independent I say, it's just the combination of the components to get to the level of output that can creat problems.
