660 Grizz weight?
#1
I finally picked up my Silver Grizz tonight, it's sharp! I noticed that on the Certificate of Origin the weight was listed as 639.7 lb's. If it has a dry weight of 600 lb., does the extra weight come from lubricants and a full tank of gas?

Dry weight means no fluids. You would be surprised how much 5 gallons of gas weighs. You also posted on another forum you had aftermarket tires and wheels on it and those will weigh more than your stock tires and wheels.

TexMud,
I looked in my manual, the weight on the C.O.O. is the weight of the quad with all fluids to capacity... Lubes and gas and "stock" of course! 639.7 lb's...
The dry is 600 lb's even, gasoline must weigh 7 lb's or so per gallon, lubes another 5 lb's.
Some extras include the winch, it weighs 19.25, this includes the wiring, switch and fasteners. Roller fairlead 2.75 lb, mounting bracket another 5 lb. Dirt Devil's 26 X 10's front and back at 22.7 each add a extra 27 lb total to the quad, stocks weigh 17 each in back and 14.75 each up front. Grand total 694 lb's, not bad!
