Grizzly Aftermarket Pipes/Silencers
#1
I'm looking for a good aftermarket silencer for my 02 Griz. I've seen some products (IDS2 and W/B) for the old Griz 600, but none yet for the new Griz 660. Stock silencer is ok, but Griz really seems to be really constricted on the intake and exhaust flow. Probably due to noise and EPA requirements for the factory settings. My 400EX was the same way from Honda. Lean pilot and main jetting, restrictive pipe, etc...
So, have any of you heard of any 02 Griz silencer offerings? Anyone changed pipes, jets, air cleaner, etc... ???
In addition, I'm planning to put on a set of 27" Blackwater XT's. Want good all around hardpack and rocky trail tires. Any advice on any other tire choices? I don't want/need pure mudders.
Thanks,
Ron

The pipes for W/B's and Supertrapp are coming out mid-Oct. In fact Mickey Dunlap (4-Stroke Tech) is working on the Supertrapp himself, various setups and he checks his changes via a dyno. Although he likes the dyno, he says there nothing like real world results, hop on and see what it'll do...he's heavily involved in GNCC(Grand National Cross-Country) racing.
As for tires, check out Dirt Devils by GBC (Green Ball Corp). Great all around tire. I went with 26" X 10", there 22.7 lb. each and there a true 26" tall tire, I like these alot! If you jump to 27", I think they are 28 lb's each.

Dont hold your breath on SuperTrapp. They are slow as sin for utility quads and they have stopped making their IDS2 series for most popular quads. They have a new IDS-X coming out but there has been talk of it for about a year and nothing to show for it.
