2000 scrambler 500 4x4....and a cunning pine tree..
#1
Last weekend a cunning pine tree snuck out and hit my front right wheel which is now about 2 inches out of alignment..nothing appears bent...can I just adjust the R/H tie rod and realign the wheel using the piece of string around all four wheels as a guide...and how much should the front wheels point in or or out using the distance from the front/back of the rim from the string?...many thanks for any advice. (p.s. Im in New Zealand...so Polaris dealers and advice are scarce.)

Something HAS TO BE bent. If there isn't anything rubbing, you can get away with a realignment but that is NOT the safest route. I don't know what the spec is but it does need a little "toe-out". BTW check the spindle and the clearance of the tie rod end to the wheel and compare both sides. its a common area to bend.
