This is a subject thats been asked over and over again...
first thing first..Get yourself some nice hose clamps. Not the crappy ones that come with the bike. Now go and remove your airbox assembly. At the front of the airbox there are plastic dowels shaped like a cone. trim off the cone part only. This will alllow you to push the airbox all the way forward and also makes it alot easier to take the damn airbox out. Put the new hose clamps around the manifold. Push the carbs into place. make sure the boots are around the carbs but not PUCKERING..you 'll see what i mean when you do it. Tighten the hose clamps accordingly but not ttoo tight otherwise you will rip the boots. When you put the airbox on push the whole assembly forward. when you trimmed the dowels it gives you more room to push the whole thing forward. Tighten evrything up and you should be all set. Just remeber before you go riding to check them . I have doen this mod and havn't had a probelm since. I also changed my jetting to a 145 on the left and a 150 on the right..but i have a pipe and airbox etc etc.
Peace

need more info:
1. when were the valves last adjusted?
2. what carb/airbox/air cleaner mods have you done?
It's widely known that a raptor's carb boot connection sys is soft. torqueing the screws on the boot clamps properly is critical. Some add heftier clamps, some use big zipties. I just keep mine tight and address potential backfires.
pls respond.
