What are you guys paying for the new 02 Grizzly? Around here dealers are charging full MSRP plus $680 freight and setup plus tax. I'm looking at close to $8000 out the door. Seems like too much for a quad...

Needtoys: I live in Colorado Springs, and when I was looking for my Raptor, I found that all of the dealers in Denver charge a huge markup fee. My friends have found the same thing when buying Polaris's and Honda's in Denver also. The dealer here in Colorado Springs just charges MSRP+tax, nothing else. You might want to call "Rocky Mountain Cycles" here in Colorado Springs, and ask for Doug in sales. He told me that he would be receiving several new Grizzlies over the next month or two. I've talked to him several times, and ridden with him, he's a good guy to deal with. I also was considering driving to a dealer in Wyoming that only charges MSRP, but no tax to out-of-state buyers. Since an ATV does not have a title in Wyoming or Colorado, you don't have to pay sales tax when you bring it into the state (saves about $420).

Good luck,

Man you are getting screwed up there!! Just cruise on down I-25 to Las Cruces New Mexico, hang a right on I-10, go 60 miles to Deming Cycle Center. I paid $6500 + $240 tax and license ( no tax for out of state) + $69 for the winch, which I don't have yet.

Bummer!!! I was just in Las Cruces in September! Wish I would have known I wanted one when I was there. Man, that's a helluva drive to save $1000. Maybe I need to wait (which I don't want to do) or keep bugging the dealerships here and play them off each other and see what I can do. If I get the Polaris guys to $6300 OTD, I will be getting a 500HO instead. I would be willing to pay $7000 OTD for the Grizzly, but not much more.

Man ... those are great prices. Here in Nova Scotia, Canada I just priced a Grizz last Friday .... $9800cdn + 15% tax ... $$12 270.00, +10 registration, +$10 license and that is without a winch, mud tires ... nothing tossed in at all. Even at 7 grand US with 1.53% exchange is only $10 700.00 Canadian, with our 15% tax it would be $12 316.50. If you go much under 7000 you would be in the ballpark of what we have to pay for them, if you had to include tax. Up here you have to license them, meaning you gotta pay the 15% tax ... can't use them on the hiway, but you have to license them.

OK. Got them down to $7500 OTD, still about 500 too much, and they don't seem to be moving any more on the price. These things are hard to find, each dealer only has 1 or 2. Can someone please justify for my why the Grizz is worth $800 more than the HO?
