I got rid of my H.O. which I bought last October, for a Grizz. I was very frustrated by the lack of power in the H.O. I had sold my very nice 2000 Sportsman for the H.O. thinking it would be so very much faster. Instead I got stiffer suspension and a bit more mid-range punch, but nothing to write home about, and certainly nothing to trade in for. So I tried cams, carbs, pipes etc and got very little. The promise of the H.O. was H.O.L.L.O.W. there was little there.
.....The Grizz delivered the power, but not the finesse of the Polaris, especially in the handling dept. The Grizz is mechanically much more capable, much better 4x4 system, locker front end, Raptor top end, lighter weight. But it was too damn narrow, at 43.5 " the skinny tires and skinny stance rolled it into a tree on day two, with a little help from my son. We have since put widetrack Douglas wheels and Spidertrax tires on it, and it now behaves as a 650 cc sport/utility should. Handling to match the power. Just called all over the Albany, NY area and got two dealers down to $7000 + tax incl winch and installation, out the door. I think that is a good deal. So good that I now have $200 down on a nice silver one! Around here silver/camo Grizz's are 300 more EVERYWHERE. Not sure what it's like around you. Thought I'd mention the color difference in case it matters for you. I can't wait to pick her up! Was close to buying an AC 500i (SWEET BIKE TOO) but couldn't pass up the extra options and power of the Grizz. Anyway - good luck.
