In deep snow they suck... In not-so-deep stuff they aren't too bad.

 

Yeah what he said. In the "just fallen, never been ridden on" snow that's 6-8" deep they load up and become a slick. It also don't help that the front tires are plowing through creating a lot of resistance. After the snow gets packed down and is reasonably hard, they are a blast.
