Grizzly 660, Sportsman 700, or Prarie 650

I am ready tobuy a new quad and am compiling all of my infromation, i wan the best one for me. I know th Prarie has better acceleration, and the Grizz is comfortable, but havn't herd too much about the Sportman 700. I do mostly semi-rough trail riding and creek riding. Buddy, I just went through the same problem as you, what to decide? I did so much research I made myself sick. And the quad I bought which is the best quad on the market is the Grizzly. I picked itup saturday and rode it sunday to break it in. TOOOOO MUCH FUN. I was concerned it would be slow, not true, I was concered it was to big to handle, not true. And all the features you can't beat it. I love the bike, it just looks mean. I am telling you, I have done the research, and I recommend the grizzly one hundred times over. Mine is beige with a 2000 warn winch and moose plow, great setup. 4wd is nice and the ground clearance is insane. My buddy had the beartracker and the grizz will drive over that. I see you live in new york, i live in jersey, got a great deal in penn from rustypalmer. My buddy bought his raptor from there, great people to deal with and I got an unbelieveable deal

We went to the Utah atv jamboree and it was the first trip out for my new praire650 and my buddys grizzly660.I think the grizz is a good quad but it vibrates a lot compared to the praires v twin and the praire flat whoops it in a drag race.The praire is a much more sporty quad.It power slides really well and doesnt lean in the turns like the grizz.The grizz does have a smother ride and a really cool instrument panel.I am not biased towards any model of quad this is what we found to be true after over 500 miles of riding in a week.

Goes down to this. Sport or Utility? If you want a 600 lb. slider that corners hard and supposedly outruns a 400ex, get a Prairie. If you want something just a hair slower, but faster than everything else, and has better ability in massive terrain, get a Grizzly. Its pretty simple when you look at it. All you have to think about is where you are going to ride it. Don't rule out the Sportsman for a second either. Supposedly has a higher top speed than the others. Acceleration is almost the same as a Grizzly from what I hear. How often do you race somebody from a standstill. Most of the time, its like an interstate race with me. Makes me wonder what these three will do against each other just poking along at 20mph, and then everyone hits it. We all know the kawasaki gets the holeshot from a standstill.

Hey Andy, why is that you're always saying it doesn't matter about the two different quads. However, you always drop little negative hints on the P650(600 lb slider...hard cornerer...supposedly outruns 400EX) and give higher praise to the G660 (better ability in massive terrain). If you're saying the Grizz is just a little slower...then I know for a fact the P650 is just a little less stable and able in "massive terrain." I've got a buddy w/ a Grizz and I smoke it. He is not just a little slower but alot. As far as "massive terrain" the Prairie is right there with the Grizz, since the IRS on the Grizz is not as flexable as one may think. In addition, it does SMOKE a 400EX. I've done it many times. Furthermore, the Prairie dominates in the H20, hands down.

Well I have a grizz 660 and my brother has a prairie 650 and we race all the time and i beat him every time so it really only deepends from machine to machine. And there is video at atvdude.com where the grizzly just whoops the prairie.

ATVDUDE.com has a link dedicated to the Grizzly on there page and on the bottom of their site it says something like support a mechanic and buy a Polaris. I wonder who will win their drag race between the 660 and the 700 Sportsman??? Hmmm, atvdude, such a credited source. There you have it buy the grizz. I read on atv dude where it can be submerged into 10 ft of water without sputtering.....ah, never mind you get the point.
