Will a 400EX swingarm pivot bolt Work on a TRX250R? The 250R pivot bolt cost twice as much as the 400EX bolt.

Also, could someone get me a measurement (in inches) of a 400EX pivot bolt length?

A friend of mine has a Lonestar frame and he broke his swingarm bolt and it came off a 250r frame. He replaced it with a 400ex swingarm bolt and it worked just fine. He said the one end was a little different but other than that, he has had no problems. Like you said, the 250r swingarm bolt is a lot more expensive than a 400ex bolt.

 

hey chawness how did you break your bolt. i just broke one jumping i think thats how it happened since i looked down and seen nut missing. the price really sucks since the one i broke was also brand new. 53 dollars with nut. im wondering if i over tightned the nut. later wil.

 

I didnt break one, I am starting a new project and didnt want to spend fifty some dollars on a bolt if I didnt have to. Thanks
