Where the hell is my 700 winch mount?

Dang! why the hell do they build these quads without having the accessories ready? I've got a two week hunting trip planned with that bike starting friday and they assured me it would be here prior to today even. As for the bike it ROX .I had a '00 500 and now i realize that it had plenty of power 'cuz it seems like the 700 power could get ya hurt.A local story of a guy that got his 700 a week ago friday and died on it the next day (rumor of alchohol involved) Has anyone got their winch mount for the 700?

My dealer sold his first three 700s over the phone prior to the arrival at the dealership ($7400) so I was unable to ride one. The parts manager has a 350 two-stroke and he says the 700 is easily twice as fast. (The older 350 two stroke machines run VERY WELL!) He said it is the fastest quad he has ridden. He compared the difference as between a non-HO 500 and a 500 HO to a Sportsman 500. Be very careful because these things will go faster than is safe. I doubt I will be able to ride a 700 before next year because his November shipment has been commmited (not paid for yet) by small deposits on all three.

I got my 700 on the 11th, and they said it would be a couple of weeks before i could get winch mounts. hey buckshotspud , can you look at the hitch on yours and see if the frame on each side of it (the square tubeing) is open or pluged? I was noticeing mine was open. looks like a place that would fill up with mud and water , adding weight and possible rusting. ........So far I love my 700!! I have'nt ridden my scrambler since the sportsman arrived!

that's not torque your feeling, that is TORQUE!!! This machine is everything I had hoped it would be. My brother says the only reason I will need a winch is to pull the people that try to follow me!!! I can't wait till I get past the 10hr break-in. My brother has a 01 400 explorer 4x4 and he always would lead the way on muddy trails w/me behind on the scrambler..... Now that i've got the 700, I think there will be a new leader! I'll let my wife ride the scrambler and catch all the mud at the back of line!! she says... "ha ha... not"!!!

Hey guys,
I wouldn't plug the frame tubes.......they are open in the front and rear, and probably have some holes drilled in them in different places for attaching different things (maybe not). Anyway, if water gets in them and they're plugged, it will be conducive to rust......with them open, it can air-dry. Anyway, just a suggestion.

After checking it out closer, I think walexa has a good point. If polaris had meant for it to be plugged, it would be. thanks for the information ya'll. Another good example of how this forum helps all of us atv owners out!
