I noticed on my Rancher that I had about two ounces of oil accumulated in the bottom of my air box. What is the cause of this, and is it common? Also the foam air filter seemed a little saturated as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Oil gets sucked up through the crankcase vent. The vent is the little square thing on the side of the airbox with a piece of foam in it. If your air filter is really dirty, when you remove it you will notice that the vent will leave a little square clean spot on the filter. If you trace the hose coming from it, it goes down to the engine. I think during rough riding, oil gets splashed around, and some ends up in the vent hose. The Recon does the same thing, but to a lesser degree.

Oil can get in the airbox when you've either tipped or rolled your quad, as well. No big deal, just clean it out, and check your oil level...
