350x airbox boot on 300ex results
#1
Well I just installed a 86 350x airbox boot on my 97 300ex.
Their is definatly more flow with the 350x boot. The 300ex one is quite restrictive.
The only problem I found is that the boot is angle a little bit to much and I had to tilt the carb forward to get it to seal right.U can't tell when U are riding that it is like this though.
As far as performance U can definatly tell.It wheelie's in 4th now and U can rev it out a tad higher than before.I might need to rejet again.
I wouldn't do this unless U can find a used one though.I paid 45.00 for a brand new one.And I am not sure it was worth that much money.
By the way my 300ex's motor is stock except a modified header pipe, uni filter and rejet.
