I am using springs off the Polaris models to change rear suspension on a couple of atvs because Polaris springs are cheap and easy to come by. What I'm trying to find out is the length of the rear springs on the 500 Sportsman and the inner diameter of the ends. Anyone out there who has changed their springs and still have the old ones around who could check for me? Thanks for any help!!

Sorry but 3 days ago I had a set in my hand. I do know the HD spings were a hair longer than the stock ones. Actually they a compressed a good 2 inches when on the shocks. So if I get another set soon do you want the uncompressed length or the compressed length on the shocks?

I am looking for the uncompressed length and the inside diameter of the ends. The measurement of the stock spring would be close enough probably. I appreciate your help both this time and the other spring info you gave me. Thanks a lot!
