I just bought a brand new Baja and was looking for a chassis skid plate. Who makes a good skid plate? Would the baja skid plate be the same as the 2000-2001 DS650 skid plates?

I agree, PRM makes the best and they should fit. They will take them back if they don't. They stand behind their products. By the way, how much did you pay?

Mr. Crashnburn stay away from the DG chassi skid plates , the hole in the skid plate that should be under the oil drain plug of the bike was cut wrong and now to change the oil you have to take the plate off. I have e-mailed the company several times over the last 6 weeks with no reply. I was hoping to exchannge the defected one I bought for over $100 for a non-defected one. Boy you would think DG would test their final products before sending them out to market. Thanks DG (Defected Goods).

R.I.S. Designs also makes a top quality belly skid plate. These are the same foks that produce the trick billet pieces for the bike. I have all of there DS products on my bike and am happy with all of it. I don't know the price on it right now, but I can check.

Knutz, do they have a website? Would A-arm guards be different on the baja than the regular ds?

I'm pretty sure they do have a web site, but I'm not near the office this week[not till wed., I'm in Wisconsin doing some developement for a new Team Pami racing team in germany] Try a search for R.I.S. Designs

I'm guessing a skid plate for the old DS arms will not work on the new Baja arms since they apaer to have sort of a skid on them already.
