this is different than list broken parts here kinda stuff let's say all the positive things(will make you feel better).well here's mine bought my 300 4x4 slightly used in aug 96 and since have had to replace(ok this is the broken part section)battery twice,cv boot(ripped),rear brake seal and rear shoes.so let's hear all those good things

 

I know this will stir some laughs, but just remember the era I'm referring to.

I purchased a Honda ATC110 brand new in 1979. Rode that thing 2+ hours every evening,all day Saturday and most of Sunday. Did that for about 5 years. Then I moved up to the 185S. My cousin who was younger than me took over the reins of the 110 and kept it till he sold it about 5 or 6 years ago to a guy that we both know.

What was the best ATV I ever had? That little 110. From all those years of torture from 3 different owners, that thing has never needed any major repair. I think it has had a few sets of points, LOTS of plugs, and a few chains and sprockets. THAT'S IT!

That guy still has that 110 and I have tried many times to buy it back just as a mento for the shop, but he wont sell.

The best ATV I have ever owned was an 85 Honda Fourtrax 250. That thing was incrediable, I was only about 10 at the time when we got it and i rode the dogsh!t out of it for almost 10 years and it NEVER broke anything, on top of that, I really didnt take that good of care of it.
My favorite quad was my 90 LT 500 Zilla, I have owned a few Banshees, a 250r, a 400ex and a Raptor, and they are all toys compared to my Zilla, nothing I have seen in the last 10 years can even come close to the old 500s. But unfortunately some sorry S.O.B felt like stealing it from me, oh well, got a 89 500 now am currently restoring it from the ground up.

Well my most reliable was my 86' TRX350 4X4, Never ripped a boot never adjusted the valves and used it for play riding and some serious work jobs. THe only things that ever broke on it were my fault. I broke the racks (hitting trees) broke the plastic (hit trees) and flattend the battie (someone[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]forgot to turn the key off)It had original tires (bald) but it was a great machine.

My best proforming ATV is of course my 250R.

I wish i still had the 4X4 there's still ALOT of mudder in me.

 

yes i feel the pain of losing an old atv,before i got my honda i had a 88 yamaha,it served me for many years until a cypress knee took out an oil line and she died (sniff-sniff)

 

my little 200sx has carried me from mudding to duning to crashing and she still runs. im trying to make my memories last before she moves to her new owners as i get a new favorite quad---my warrior which will come this spring

 

our best quad had to be a 200sx, it was an 86 and it had been through it and back, and that thing would smoke a barn up but still run like a jewl, we sold it in 99 and the guy that has it now is still riding it and it has diamondplate fenders all the wway around....lol, thats why i have so much faith in HONDA!

 

1996 Polaris Xpress 300. Been to the shop ONCE. The ONLY thing that has been replaced are the chain and sprockets, and front tires. Let the bashing begin.

 

I used to take my girlfriend out in the woods on my 1985 honda250 utility. Still have that quad but not that girlfriend.Those old 250 just keep running and running. Batteries and plugs.
