The best to me encapsulates durability. Since my newer rides are to knew to tell, I have to say it was my 1985 Honda 200S three-wheeler. I got it new back in 1985 and it had no rear suspension, only a few inches up front, pull start, the key only operated a lock on the steering, and ballon tires. That thing one tough cookie. Back then I had no clue about maintenance and for the three years I had it, I NEVER cleaned the filter (I didnt know it had a filter to clean), I only changed the oil once, and that was two years in after a rival punk poured sandly small gravel into my engine oil. It fell through a frozen lake and stayed their floating upside down in the lake till the next day. When I got it out, my dad tinkered with it a bit, changed the gas and it fired right up. It was dropped, rolled, etc. and ran till the day I sold it. We use to laugh and call it a little red possum. Anyone familiar with possums know what I mean.

in 1998, I bought an '83 Honda 200X 3-wheeler for $400

I ran the crap out of it for over a year and never spent a dime on it....

I'm talking under water, jumping, the beach, mud, snow, etc.

that was the most fun I ever had for $400

Well my favorite quad is my first and only one. My 2001 300ex. People may say it isn't much but if you have seen the hell I have put the ol 300 through, I think I could change their minds. Even though I have only raced it once, I was able to beat a blaster, a mojave (even though thats not sayin much) and even a few 400ex's. I've fixed it up a little since than so maybe I will do a little better next race.

Best atv I ever had was an 83 HONDA 250r three wheeler, paid $1950 for it brand new. It was state of the art for that year, gee I bet it was near as fast as todays faster machines in the woods, I rode that a real lot. I still got it and still has the original front brakes although the back tires were toast in less than 2 weeks. Got 5000 Kilometers ON MY 2000 RANCHER so far hope it lasts as good as the old ROOSTER.

I would say it was my 97 300ex thats what i started on.I raced it for
two years mx.The bike was beaten like a redheaded stepchild and always
came back for more.I was also able to get a good resale out of it.

My friends 00' bayou 220 blew the topend in the first 2 months he had it and then when he got it back it blew the head gaskets. Later oil just started leaking out of it from somewhere an he sold it and boguth a reconand had no more problems. He drove it like a baby he never reved it up or even attempted to go fast. Overall I think they are poorly made But i am just telling you my experience with bayous.
