I have a rancher and want to put 25" tires on the back. The questions is the front would stay 24's. Does this mess up te 4x4? The reason i am doing this is because the only tires i can find that fit my 11" stock rims are 25's.

thanks

You have to keep the ratios the same or else with just bigger back tires will cause the back to push the front and thats no good.

The tire size issue on a 4x4 quad is a complicated one. What killer250r said is true, but there are a few ways around it. It just takes alot of time and accuracy. If you measure the INFLATED height of your rear tires, all you need to do is have a tire the same INFLATED height.

There is not one tire on the market, that I've seen that measures the advertised height once inflated. It is possible for a 26" tall tire to actually be the same as a 24"! I've seen them. If you are buying from a dealer or warehouse that doesn't sell tire/wheel packages, they probally won't know the inflated height, so you will have to find one that does.

A difference of a 1/2" isn't an amount to be concerned with. Also if it is close you can add or take away a pound or to just to make it right on.

As I said, it can be a hassle for you and the place from which you are buying, but you WILL find that some 25" tires will measure your size.

Hope this helped.
