Yes they do look awesome. I beleive there was a little information in one of the ATV Mags, either a December or January issue. I heard they revised the trans (changed gear ratios's), changed the axle and rear shock also. I first heard about it on this board. I checked out the pic's @ Yamaha's website, liked it so much and ordered one for the wife. It's due Mar 2002 can't wait.

I am trying now to decide if I want one bad enough. The dealer is getting a bunch in but all but one is spoken for. Someone push me over the edge, they are calling me in an hour to confirm my 500 dollar refundable deposit.

Thanks

Yes the limited is only a color change. The upgrades/changes I noted were between the 2001 and 2002 model years (sorry for the error).

MNWildFan: Push... Push ..... Push, Go get it ordered! Tell them you'll give them $200.00 for a deposit, that's all I had to put down.

It's a thing of beauty!!!!

P.S. For me the Limited Edition price worked out to be only around $150.00 over the price of a regular model (Blue or Black/White)

So you only had to put down 2 hundo? Damm. My dealer is selling the special edition for full retail of 6599 and the regular one for like 6199. I am just having a hard time with 400 bucks for an all black frame, plastic and accesories. Do these prices seem in line with what you have seen / paid? I am going to go into the dealer in a week and if the last one isnt spoken for I will put a deposit on it if the prices seem ok. Thanks for the input. Much appreciated.

From what I've read/heard, prices on ATV's/Mototcycles in other states are cheaper than those offered in California (especially Silicon Valley) where I'm at. Most of the dealers I checked with around here said they sell at standard retail $6,495.00 plus fees (freight/set-up, tax, License Etc). Most all said a Limited would cost an additional $100-200.00 over a standard Raptor.

Thanks all for the pushing. Turns out the dealer is selling them for exactly MSRP I was wrong on the price of the non LE Raptor. The LE was only 100 bucks more and I have to wait till March. The dealer I go to doesnt charge any setup or freight so I only have to pay tax and registration. Put down the deposit now the waiting game begins. Any of you happen to be in Minnesota? I would love to ride one of these Yamis before I actually buy one. Thanks again.

Edit: Went to a little hole in the wall dealer in Wisconsin and they are selling brand spankin new Reptors for 6299 and LE's for 6399 with no setup or shipping charges. I hate this price shoping game.
